Pacelli
Household organiser
One private place for everything your household shares.
Pacelli keeps a household in step: the tasks, the shopping lists, the plans for the week and the notes on how things work in your home. Everyone you invite sees the same thing, on their own phone, the moment it changes.
What you write is encrypted on your iPhone before it is uploaded, so the database holds only ciphertext. The app and the privacy policy also say plainly who could still read it, and when.

How the encryption works
A household has to sync between phones, so its data is stored online. Pacelli makes sure that what is stored is unreadable to anyone outside the household.
Your household gets its own key
When a household is created, Pacelli generates a random key that belongs to that household alone.
Content is encrypted on your iPhone
Task titles and notes, checklist items, plans, category names, the photos you attach and what your phone reads in them are encrypted with AES-256 on the device, before anything is uploaded.
The key is stored wrapped
The household key is stored on the server wrapped with a key derived from each member's account identifier, and cached in the device Keychain. Anyone who reaches the database sees only ciphertext.
The limit, stated plainly
This does not stop the developer, who could unwrap a household key. Keys that only your devices hold are being built. Until they ship, do not store anything you would not want the developer to be able to read.
You can see all of it
Settings, Privacy & encryption lists every field that is encrypted before upload, every field that is not, and what this protects against.
